Maria uses snap cubes to make a series of cubes. She makes the first cube by showing 1 snap cube. She makes the second cube by connecting 8 snap cubes, and the third cube by arranging 27 snap cubes. Write a function that describes this sequence. Then use the sequence to predict the number of snap cubes Maria will use to make the sixth cube.

I'm having a really hard time finding the function to this problem for some reason! i did the others just fine, but im struggling with this! PLEASE ANSWER THIS ASAP! i dont need the answer, i just need help finding the function!
This function is a bit trickier so start off by writing down what you know.
The first number in the sequence is 1.
The second number in the sequence is 8.
The third number in the sequence is 27.
The number is the cube of the number in the sequence. The first term can be written as 1, and 1^3 = 1.
The second term can be 2. 2^3=8.
The third term is 3. 3^3=27.
The sequence is nth term cubed.
6^3=216.
This pattern is not very obvious.
